Irish Shortbread

  • Ingredients:

200g butter, softened

110g of powdered sugar

300g of flour

½ teaspoon of salt

  • Preparation: 
  1. Preheat the oven to 150 degrees.
  2. In a bowl mix the butter, salt and flour by hand.
  3. Add the sugar, and knead until you have a short pastry.
  4. On a floured work surface, spread the dough to a thickness of 1cm maximum.
  5. Cut rectangles into the dough and place them on a tray covered with parchment paper and buttered.
  6. Bake 30 minutes, and serve warm, with a good Irish tea!
